Help! We adopted a beautiful 2 year-old beagle just before Christmas. She has adapted to our home wonderfully....except for one big problem. She seems to get a little aggressive sometimes with her toys, or anything really that she puts in her mouth. I read somewhere about reward training with treats and such but she doesn't like treats and prefers whatever is in her mouth to anything I try to offer her in exchange. I am worried as I have 2 little granddaughters (6 and 8) who visit regularly and I don't want them to get bitten. Since she was from a shelter, I don't know if something in her past has something to do with her behavior. Should I try some other way to train her or get her obedience training.
