Hello,
I just brought home 2 new Guinea Pigs last night and one of their eyes is a little goopy. I've seen this in cats before, is it the same thing?
They're still petrified and hiding, so I don't know if I should take him out to clean his eye or leave him until he's settled into the new home.
What should I do?

I see you have two posts. BTW - I just joined "My PetsMart" today, and I see you joined last week. So by now, you may have sought a vet's advice or found other cavey chats or websites. The goopy eye thing can be a sign of illness or can be a result of a scratch on the eye. Please let me know what you chose to do and how this has worked out. It's a bummer I only joined today because I wish I could have responded to you last week. But I'm guessing you got help elsewhere. Let me know!
