Has anyone tried Wellness dog food? What did you think? My Husky loves it!

No, I would not feed it. I want a food that is made by the actual product company. Wellness and Blue Buffalo are made by the same supplier/manufacturer ~ American Nutrition.

WellPet is the result of a recent merger of two pet food companies both with long heritages in the pet industry: Eagle Pack Pet Foods & Old Mother Hubbard.

Everyone throws a fit wanting to know where their food comes from. Take a look at the Whole Dog Journal. To get in the journal, the company has to divulge where and who they get their ingredients from and where the food is made and by whom.

Hi Nicole,

Crosby is cute!!! I always get people telling me that China, my Siberian Husky, looks just like a Malamute except for her eyes.

Most male Malamutes are between 75-110 lbs so your puppy is not overweight. Most veterinarians recommend keeping a dog on puppy food until age one. As a breed, Malamutes do better eating twice a day because they are known to gobble down food if it is left out. As for type and amount of food, that will vary. The amount depends on the dog's weight and the brand of food. Try using PetSmart's Food Center to find the right food for Crosby.

Always remember to discuss any diet changes with your veterinarian first.

Hope this helps!

Hello Julie,

I haven't tried the Wellness dog food. I'm actually wondering if I'm giving my dog what he needs. I have a 6 month old alaskan malamute, his name is Crosby and he weights 68 pounds. Is that considered overweight? I feed him Pedigree puppy. I went loooking on numerous websites and alot say that Pedigree is not good for my dog. I also wonder how many cups I'm supposed to give him everyday and should I feed him twice, morning and evening or...? Would you be able to help me keep my dog healthy and lean by giving me your adviced?

Sincerely,

Nicole
