I am furious with PetSmart. On Sunday I brought my dog Sparky in to PetSmart to play in their Doggie Daycare and then be given a bath. My husband and I answered all of their questions as Sparky was a new client. They explained that his bath would take 3 hours We gave them dog food for his dinner at five o'clock. They hugged Sparky and promised they would take good care of him. We paid for his stay and kissed him goodbye. Since they close at six on Sunday, we asked our daughter to pick him up. When she arrived, PetSmart associate told her they forgot about Sparky. They quickly got the groomer to give him a bath. It was 5:30 at this time. At six o'clock they gave my daughter Sparky, who was completely wet and frantic. They charged my daughter again and when she asked for his bag of food, they said we didn't give them any! At home Sparky peed for the longest time and then went on his bed and whimpered. He thought he was punished. As it turns out, Sparky got no play time, which was the main purpose of bringing him in, no food, no walk, no attention and basically no bath! He was cooped up in a cage the entire time! They double charged us, forgot to give us back our food, and totally ignored our dog!
I called to complain to the national company, but was told someone will get back to me. No one has called me. The manager agreed that they were totally in error and apologized but that didn't make my dog feel any better!
I don't understand how a company whose purpose is the caring of animals could let something like this happen. It's like a babysitter putting a baby in a closet and forgetting about it.
PetSmart was totally negligent and will never see my dog again!
