I have had to put one of my Shih Tzhu's to sleep on July 28th. Like awiltse's pet it was out of the blue. The symptoms were pale white tongue and gums. Lack of oxygen and loss of balance. He also started sleeping alot. The emergency vet tech said my dog was extremely sick with an enlarged spleen and had an autoimmune disease. I had to put him to sleep that day when I originally thought they would treat him, give me some pills for him to take and he'd be ok. That was the saddest day of my life.
I wrote Four Paws customer service and they said they are testing the product. I told them I'd like to know what they find and if it warrants me taking my dogs to the vet. I need to let the vet know what to look for.

I called the number and was told that it was a quality issue where the product was separating, so they voluntarily pulled it to test and make sure there were no other issues..they've had tests come back from two independent labs that confirmed it is safe, and expect it to be back on the shelves in a couple of weeks....however, FOUR PAWS does not have any official announcement that they can send to me which is a concern.
