I have now had two water bottles inexplicably stop working. My poor hamster will go over there and just drink and drink, but nothing comes out. I can take it out and get it to work again, but then it stops again. This is a big deal to me; she went 2 days without water because of it (I'd just bought a new water bottle and checked it; it was working at first and so I assumed it still was). I'm a nursing student and not always here and am worried about her not having water to drink; it could kill her. Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong and how I can fix it? I Googled it, but unfortunately came up with nothing. Thanks.

What brand are you using? You may want to switch to a different brand. I hadn't really ever heard of this problem before. I have had several small pets and I really like the Super Pet glass water bottle that is chew proof. Also, its easier to disinfect glass over plastic. The only other thing I can think of is that your water maybe hard or have a lot of deposits in it. I hope this helps. Let us know what you come up with.
