They both have the right amount of gallons per inch- they are both around 2 inches, and have a filter and have regular water changes-20%.
http://mypetsmart.com/community/message-boards/fish/fresh-water/care-health/swim-bladder#comments Care & Health Wed, 04 May 2011 23:56:29 +0000 Cecile1 190466 at http://mypetsmart.com (1) Betta erratic behavior (2) other fish/shrimp in betta tank http://mypetsmart.com/community/message-boards/fish/fresh-water/care-health/1-betta-erratic-behavior-2-other-fishshrimp-in
NOTE: this was posted by faygosgurl_888 on Sat, 04/23/2011 - 17:50, but somehow it ended up in the Cat Forum under "Behavior" and was entitled "Betta Behavior".

I felt the person who responded to "faygosgurl_888" did such a good job of responding that I wanted to "re-post" it here so others could benefit.

Here is the QUESTION by "faygosgurl_888" -
http://mypetsmart.com/community/message-boards/fish/fresh-water/care-health/1-betta-erratic-behavior-2-other-fishshrimp-in#comments Care & Health Thu, 28 Apr 2011 22:22:43 +0000 elsp517 190018 at http://mypetsmart.com HELP! I did find Anti-Bateria Medicated Fish Food from Jungle Labs but would like to know if anyone has a comment about the Medicated Fish Food. The package claims it can be fed to the Betta to help with fin rot but I have never seen any mention on any of the fish blogs I have read.

Has anyone ever tried it or know if it is a good product?

Thanks, Pat
http://mypetsmart.com/community/message-boards/fish/fresh-water/care-health/medicated-fish-food-for-betta-infection#comments Care & Health Sun, 30 Jan 2011 19:36:35 +0000 patcamp 181626 at http://mypetsmart.com Cloudy Water http://mypetsmart.com/community/message-boards/fish/fresh-water/care-health/cloudy-water
Aside from a bacteria bloom and excessive bioload, what may be some other reasons why an aquarium would get cloudy and stay cloudy for weeks at a time?

this was a customers tank... she had said that clarifier worked once, but not again.
http://mypetsmart.com/community/message-boards/fish/fresh-water/care-health/cloudy-water#comments Care & Health Fri, 28 Jan 2011 14:23:43 +0000 JoeFishes 181444 at http://mypetsmart.com Biological Bacteria Media http://mypetsmart.com/community/message-boards/fish/fresh-water/care-health/biological-bacteria-media
In regards to using biological media in your filter to colonize beneficial bacteria, would it have the same effect if just placed in the aquarium instead?
http://mypetsmart.com/community/message-boards/fish/fresh-water/care-health/biological-bacteria-media#comments Care & Health Fri, 28 Jan 2011 14:20:48 +0000 JoeFishes 181443 at http://mypetsmart.com
