PetSmart Groomers Pamper Pets
Grooming pets is more than a new hairdo and our caring professionals at PetSmart know the important health and wellness benefits that regular, professional pet grooming provides. Unfortunately, only about half of pet parents who participated in a PetSmart survey are aware of the added health benefits of grooming.
Every dog, whether short-, medium- or long-haired, can benefit from the hands-on approach our groomers use during each session. In fact, PetSmart offers specialized grooming packages that not only create a new do, but offer pet parents healthy solution formulas to solve their dogs’ skin and coat issues. The FURminator Shedless Treatment is one of those remedies. This special groom reduces excess shedding and helps maintain coat health, especially for pets with heavy undercoats. The treatment is ideal for shedding dogs and also for some traditionally "hair-cut-only" dogs, such as Terriers and Spaniels.
At PetSmart, our number one priority is the safety, happiness and well-being of every pet. PetSmart maintains the highest standards for quality and safety in our grooming salons, and offers the largest grooming training program in the country. PetSmart groomers complete four weeks of training in addition to a 12-week hands-on technical program with an experienced salon manager. Each grooming candidate must also pass the annual PetSmart Safety Certification test before they care for your pet.
It’s not just about the training; our grooming associates are 100 percent dedicated to providing personal TLC to each and every pet, making them feel relaxed and comfortable. You can see it for yourself by watching the process through the windows into all of our salons.
Cat parents might be surprised to know our grooming salon has something for them as well, including ear cleanings, toenail trimming and yes, even a bath once in awhile. Pet parents can assist in home cat grooming and prevent fur balls their cat might otherwise swallow by regularly combing and brushing their cats’ coat.
Every PetSmart store offers a variety of grooming options to ensure your pet is happy and healthy. Visit us in store or on the Web for more information on PetSmart Grooming.

julie, have you looked into my grooming experience yet? I havent heard from you regarding this yet. I truly do think the petsmart in bullhead city is great. All the employees are wonderful. Its just the grooming dept that lacks. If they have to manhandle the pets to groom them then theres something wrong. Is anyone else here having an issue?

julie, I emailed you about this and never heard back from you. I got a message from petsmart telling me my girls were due for grooming but wont go back. As far as I see, nothing down there has changed. I still buy their food there because they are the only one that carries it, but thats it. Their cashiers are friendly and their training girl is great, but their grooming dept. stinks. When my girl comes home limping, time to change.

I had been taking by two dogs to petsmart for grooming since they opened in Bullhead City AZ. The groomer who was there was the best. She always greeted my dogs and made them feel special. Baby talk, kisses etc.. My girls loved going there. The last time we went, about 4 months ago, was the last. The groomers they had quit for some reason. Nobody would talk. I thought we would give these new groomers a chance. They did not greet my dogs, just took the leash and led them in the back. When I picked my big girl up, (100lb shep mix) she was whining to get out of there. Never did that before. They had a bad time doing her nails, and had to manhandle her a bit to get it done, and the next morning she was limping badly. They didnt have the necessary stuff to clean her ears sufficiently and I had to take her to the vet a month later for a yeast infection in her ears. Will I ever bring them back? No way!!! I am now bathing my girls and taking care of the ear cleaning. When their nails need trimming i'll pay the extra and let the vet do it. They had my big girls nails done in about 2 minutes. No problems. I still go to petsmart for their food, but thats it. I am still very dissappointed in this petsmart grooming. And when it was brought to the manager of that stores attention, he didnt even come out and talk to me. If the supermarket carried the dog food I buy, I probably wouldnt go to petsmart at all. Which is sad cuz when the town first started talking about a petsmart opening here, I absolutely couldnt wait. Now I wonder why.
